Matt Schafer, CPA

Clients appreciate and benefit from Matt’s energy, enthusiasm and outgoing nature. He enjoys working with everyone involved in the audit, and always works hard to make each engagement as smooth and efficient as possible. 

Since beginning his public accounting career in 2018, Matt has primarily worked with private companies. He has a range of experience in audit and attest services in several industries, including manufacturing, distribution and construction. Additionally, Matt advises many not-for-profit organizations.

Originally from Youngstown, Ohio, Matt relocated to the Akron/Cleveland area at the start of his professional career. He is a University of Michigan sports fan, attending as many games as he can throughout the year. Matt’s family has maintained University of Michigan season tickets for over 50 years — something he frequently hears about from Ohio State fans! He also enjoys golfing in the summer and traveling during his time away from the office.
