Ravi specializes in new fund launches, master limited partnership (MLP) funds, commodity funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), fund-of-hedge-funds and funds with innovative strategies. As a former leader of a Big 4 firm’s Registered Funds Tax Practice, Ravi managed the delivery of all tax services to registered fund clients and ensured efficient and effective operation of the registered funds’ tax groups in multiple offices. He has worked with several fund complexes to establish tax policies and procedures involving complex areas such as derivatives, tax accounting for straddles and asset-backed securities, investments in partnerships and foreign capital gains taxes.
