María G. Reyes Vega, CPA

María understands the complexity of the tax world, so her goal is to make the compliance process as straightforward as possible for clients. Extroverted and charismatic, she aims to provide a positive and meaningful experience for everyone she works with.  

María began her public accounting career in 2017 at a Big 4 firm, providing state and local tax compliance and consulting services to asset and wealth management clients. Since joining Cohen & Company, she has taken a broader approach — providing federal tax compliance, as well as state and local, for alternative investment operating entities, investment managers and private equity funds. María’s expertise includes working with C corporations, S corporations, partnerships and limited liabilities companies.

María was born and raised in Humacao, Puerto Rico, where she currently resides. She enjoys island living, including staying active outdoors, eating healthy food and going to the beach. María also loves traveling, dancing, trying new restaurants and — most of all — spending time with family and friends.
