Ron Cohen, CPA Founder, Partner Emeritus

Ron built his reputation by advocating for small businesses and dedicating himself to the firm’s clients. As Cohen & Company’s founder, he championed the phrase “SQIF,” the firm’s acronym for service, quality, innovation and fun. This mantra has become an important theme to motivate employees to provide clients with the best possible technical advice and world-class service.

Although officially retired as a stakeholder in the firm, Ron occasionally consults on client matters regarding corporate reorganizations, financing, mergers/acquisitions and ownership succession. He also represents the firm in numerous public endeavors, acts as a mentor to many entrepreneurs and advises high-potential start-ups in the region.

Ron resides in Shaker Heights, Ohio, with his wife. They have three daughters and eight grandchildren. Although Ron is interested in politics, his most avid hobby is sports. He enjoys a good game of golf and is a loyal follower of the Cleveland Indians, Browns, Cavaliers and Ohio State Buckeyes. Those in his corridor know Ron is in when they hear the familiar sounds of Cleveland sports talk radio emanating from his office.
