The Employee Retention Tax Credit, introduced as part of the CARES Act in March 2020, has been extended and expanded as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act in December 2020. This presentation will focus on understanding and comparing the employer eligibility requirements and credit computations under the original and expanded credit programs. In addition, we will review some of the IRS guidance that may allow employers to qualify in special circumstances.
