Cohen & Company is pleased to announce that Ravi Singh and Dave Sobochan have been elected to the firm's Board of Managers.
Ravi Singh, based in the New York City office, is a tax partner with over 35 years of experience in the investment industry. He provides comprehensive tax services to registered funds, including some of the firm’s largest registered fund clients, unregistered products and investment advisers. Ravi specializes in new fund launches, master limited partnership funds, commodity funds, exchange-traded funds, fund-of-hedge-funds and funds with innovative strategies.
Dave Sobochan, based in the Cleveland, Ohio office, is a tax partner and co-leads the firm’s go-to-market efforts for real estate and construction. He focuses on tax planning, reporting and minimization strategies, including entity, retirement and succession planning; state and local tax issues; and credits and incentives. Integral in the national Tax Credits and Incentives Group, Dave also specializes in deal analysis, new markets tax credits, historic tax credits, renewable energy credits and incentives, and general business consulting for real estate clients.
Additionally, incumbents Mike Kolk and Corey McLaughlin were also re-elected to the board for another term. Other board members include Adam Hill, Marcy Kempf, Nevin Nussbaum, Kim Palmer and Rob Velotta. CEO Randy Myeroff holds a permanent position on the board.
Nominated and voted on by the firm’s ownership group, board members serve staggered three-year terms. The board has important fiduciary responsibility relating to a variety of oversight matters.
