Annual Cohen & Company Community Day– August 18, 2017

August 4th marked Cohen & Company’s annual firmwide community service day. All levels of employees were encouraged to volunteer for one of many designated projects across the firm’s eight offices in five states.

Organizations served include the Cleveland Kids’ Book Bank; Focus: HOPE; Cuyahoga Valley National Park; Hunger Task Force, Inc.; Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. Volunteers packed more than 1,000 lunches, delivered meals, built storage units for a park, beautified a neighborhood and sorted children’s books.
“We were all really excited to give back and feel we made a big impact in our communities,” says Alexandria Flynn, who organized the multi-office event and also leads the firm’s Cohen Cares committee. “The event also is a great way to meet new people and build relationships within the firm.”
“Community involvement, whether by volunteering, donating or serving on a nonprofit board, is one of the founding core values of our firm,” says Randy Myeroff, CEO of Cohen & Company. “It’s important to us to offer employees a day away from the office each year to reinforce our belief in helping others.”
