Robert E. Whittall, CPA Partner Rob is a Partner in the Tax Department where he specializes in international taxation issues. A Chartered Accountant as well as a CPA, Rob spends a significant portion of his time in the U.K. advising U.K. and U.S. companies seeking to expand globally. He is particularly knowledgeable in regards to check-the-box tax planning, foreign tax credit utilization, transfer pricing issues, withholding tax issues, income tax treaties and IC-DISCs. He also works on a variety of tax issues with closely-held C corporations, S Corporations, partnerships, and limited liability companies, including those in the manufacturing and real estate industries. Rob has developed a personal network of international professionals through his active involvement in Baker Tilly International and its various international tax committees, and through his work in the U.K. Prior to beginning his career in the U.S., Rob spent six years working with family owned businesses in the U.K. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Ohio Society of CPAs and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Rob also has his Master of Accountancy in Taxation from Cleveland State University. Rob is a board member of the Rotary Club of Cleveland and is Treasurer of the British American Chamber of Commerce. Rob is a resident of Willoughby and enjoys playing on the firm's softball team and piloting planes in his spare time.
