John M. Stark, Cohen & Company

John M. Stark, CPA/ABV Partner John is a Partner in the Accounting and Auditing Services Department where he works with clients in the manufacturing and service industries. In addition, much of John's time is spent in the firm's Litigation Services and Business Valuations Department, where he works on business valuations for partner disputes, domestic relations, estate and gift taxes, succession planning, and mergers and acquisitions. He also works on damage analysis for corporations and individuals, as well as bankruptcy assistance to creditors' committees. A 1992 graduate from Miami University of Ohio, John is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Ohio Society of CPAs, where he has served on the Continuing Professional Education Committee. In 2001, John earned an Accreditation in Business Valuations (ABV) from the AICPA, which is its only accreditation for business valuations. He is the author of many articles published in Legal Cents, a bi-monthly newsletter covering CPA litigation services for lawyers. John resides in Brunswick with his wife, Kim, and son, Matthew. He enjoys softball and golf, and is an avid guitar player and collector of Hard Rock Cafe pins.
