Patricia P. Piteo, Cohen & Company

Patricia P. Piteo, CPA Partner Pat is a Partner in the Accounting and Auditing Services Department and serves as Co-Technical Director of the firm and Cohen Fund Audit Services. Her duties include supervision and planning of audit and review engagements, as well as special projects for clients, including litigation support, internal controls reviews and acquisition due diligence. She is also active in training and staff development. In addition to significant experience with manufacturing, investment and trucking companies, Pat is a lead Partner in providing auditing and consulting services to our not-for-profit and government clients. Pat also is a member of the firm's Employee Benefit Plan Audit Group where she works with Profit Sharing, ESOP, Defined Contribution and Benefit Plans. Pat was named the 2008 Financial Services Champion of the Year by the Small Business Administration for the Cleveland District, is a member of the Government Finance Officer's Association, the Ohio Society of CPAs, and the American Institute of CPAs where she serves on the Task Force to Study Financial Reporting for Private Companies. She serves on the AICPA's Auditing Standards Board, the Accounting Advisory Council to Kent State University, and the Financial Advisory Board to the Sisters of Humility of Mary. Pat recently completed a four-year term on the AICPA's prestigious Technical Issues Committee and is a former member of the Auditor of State's Regional Advisory Board. A 1975 graduate of Bowling Green State University, Pat and her husband, Alex, live in Kent, and have two sons Ted and Brian. She enjoys running in her spare time.
