Michael McGivney, CPA Senior Manager Mike is a Senior Manager in the Tax Department where he specializes in tax issues involving real estate partnerships, tax credits, and tax strategies for high net worth individuals. His specialties include like-kind exchanges, transaction structuring, and tax credit incentives. Mike is a frequent speaker on tax issues regarding renewable energy property. He has made several presentations to outside conferences, including the 2008 Ohio Energy Education Conference, 2009 Ohio Society of CPAs Columbus CPE Program, and the 2010 NMTC Compliance and Asset Management Conference in Washington, D.C. In addition, he authored the article Analyzing the Tax Implications of Grants Received for Investment Tax Credit Eligible Property, which appeared in the August 2010 publication of The Tax Adviser. Mike is the Treasurer of the Notre Dame Club of Cleveland and volunteers annually with the clubs low-income tax assistance program. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and Ohio Society of CPAs. In 2010, Mike participated in the AICPA Passing Score Panel, which analyzed the national passing score standards for CPA certification. Mike graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting and magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a Masters of Science in Accountancy.
