Randall S. Myeroff, CPA
President and CEO
When Randy was chosen to lead Cohen & Company in 1997 at the age of 33, he had the distinction of being one of the youngest managing partners of an accounting firm in the country. Since then, his vision for Cohen & Company has led the firm to more than double its size. His commitment to working with people and businesses, instilled in him by founder Ron Cohen, is a key component of the firm's success.
Randy's vision, strategy and approach to the market are used to guide the firm's employees. People are an important part of Randy's equation for success. He stresses integrity, honesty and caring. Under his leadership, the firm continues to groom its solid management team and quality financial business advisors, providing them with a platform to excel on behalf of clients.
It is the role of advisor to his clients and sharing his firsthand knowledge of what it takes to develop and run a successful business that Randy truly relishes. Navigating mergers and acquisitions, offering proven negotiation skills, tapping capital resources, structuring ownership succession plans and providing strategic planning are all areas that his clients look to him for assistance.
Randy's enthusiasm for the firm and willingness to take risks led to the opportunity to co-found the firm's Akron office at the age of 26. There he learned that you can only be successful if you genuinely love what you do and recognize that mistakes are an important part of the learning process.
Today, Randy is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, where he is an active member of the Nominations Committee; and the Ohio Society of CPAs. He represents the firm in the Major Firms Group of the AICPA, and at Baker Tilly International. Randy speaks periodically at national conferences regarding firm management issues. He also serves as a member of the board of directors and advisory boards for a number of local businesses.
His commitment to the firm is mirrored in his commitment to his family - his wife, Chris, and three boys, Craig, Nathan and Peter. He enjoys coaching his sons' ice hockey teams and water skiing at Chautauqua Lake.
