Alane L. Boffa, Cohen & Company

Alane L. Boffa, CPA Principal Alane is a Principal in the Tax Department. She works closely on a wide variety of tax and business issues with corporate clients with local and multi-state operations in the manufacturing, service, retail, and automotive industries. Alane is a leader in our Estate Planning Group, and often helps coordinate between the client's and their attorney and other professional advisors to execute estate planning strategies. In that regard she is very knowledgeable with issues related to charitable trusts and private foundations. She also works with high-net worth individuals and professional athletes. She is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Akron Tax Club, Akron Tax and Estate Planning Council, Estate Planning Council of Cleveland, and Ohio Society of CPAs, where she is a former Chair of the Tax Committee. Alane serves on the Board of the Battered Women's Shelter of Summit and Medina Counties and the Summit County Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services Board. She also serves on the Planned Giving Council of the Summit County Chapter of American Red Cross and is a graduate of Leadership Akron. Alane was recently recognized as one of the "30 for the Future" by the greater Akron Chamber of Commerce. Alane, a graduate of the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, received her Masters of Taxation from the University of Akron. Alane and her husband, David, reside in Copley. Alane's passions include golf and following college basketball.
