Phillip J. Baptiste, CPA Partner As a Partner in our Tax Department, Phil concentrates on providing tax and financial planning for high net worth individuals and their businesses. His special interests include estate, gift and generation skipping tax and maximizing the benefit of qualified retirement plans. He is also particularly knowledgeable in helping clients take advantage of research and development tax credits. Phil is active in many volunteer and professional organizations, such as the Ohio Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He is a board member and serves as President for the Lifesmart Bloodbank. Phil is also President of the United Way of Greater Lorain County, and serves on the Board of Lorain Community College Foundation. Phil received his undergraduate degree from the University of Akron in 1983 and later received his Masters in Taxation by attending school at night. Phil, his wife, Carol, and their two children, Alyssa and Ben, reside in Elyria. Phil's other interests include golf and following the local sports teams.
