Cohen & Company services a significant number of not-for-profit organizations in areas such as preparation of tax returns and financial statements, compliance with Government requirements, and improving accounting department efficiencies.

What really makes our group unique, however, is that while these businesses are categorized as not-for-profit, we focus on the fact that they are still businesses. As a business, there are issues and concerns which need to be addressed year round, not just at audit time. We are an active part of our client's advisory team and meet on an on-going basis throughout the year.

All of the individuals in our Not-For-Profit Group are trained to meet educational standards set by the AICPA and GAO.

INDUSTRY INVOLVEMENT
We feel that being an advocate for our clients absolutely must include being an advocate of the industry on the whole. That's why members of our Not-for-Profit Services group are actively involved in developing educational programs, attending industry conferences, writing articles, teaching, and serving as board trustees.
